With October just around the corner, we are pleased to announce that in just a short two weeks since the release of Fine Print #1, we are nearly Sold Out! As with any new project in life, there are definitely things which we plan to improve on. First off, our Summer 2011 issue wasn’t complete until late August and didn’t reach readers until mid-September. Secondly, we got the link of our blog wrong!
All the pieces in the first issue were great and we want to thank everyone who took the time to make great art and send it over to us on time. To those who missed this first call for submissions, we hope to see some of your amazing work in the near future.
With that said, we have decided to scratch the quarterly format! We decided that we would rather put out Fine Print on a schedule that will allow for more than four issues a year. Our next issue is currently accepting submissions! For those interested, we are looking for original work (fiction, non-fiction, essays, drawings, comics, poetry, etc.) that follow the loose theme “ORDER.”
Writing submissions must not exceed 2,000 words. Art/Comics/Drawings must fit on one 8.5×11″ sheet or on two halves of one sheet (landscape).
DEADLINE: E-mail submissions in .doc or JPEG format to filmnoirmemoir@gmail.com by no later than NOVEMBER 20, 2011.
Need more time? Just ask! Depending on how far along our production schedule it, there’s always some leeway for deadline extentions…just don’t abuse it.
Don’t you just hate it when you want to register a blog name and you find out it’s not available? It’s even more annoying when you check the other blog out and it hasn’t been active in nearly two years…what a waste! In any case, thanks for visiting GoReadTheFinePrint!
Fine Print is a small-run DIY literary zine that made its debut in August 2011. All material is original from various authors. The print journal will be handmade and individually numbered with a hand screen-printed cover. A list of places where Fine Print will be available will be available soon.
